Ktima Vikis Multicultural Wedding

This wonderful couple had a wedding celebrating Cypriot and Pakistani heritage. I adored capturing the energy and fusion of traditions at this gorgeous wedding at Ktima Vikis. The day was filled with so much fun and love. It is impossible to show everything in one blog post! So just a tiny overview of the wedding day.

Ktima Vikis is a fabulous wedding venue. As a photographer I found there was so much variation in the space with light, architecture and nature. It allows for a really wide range of images.

Both Nik and Zahra got ready at the villa at Ktima Vikis. This is fabulous for me, as I had the opportunity to capture both of them. We used this time to do some family portraits and bridal party portraits also.

Zahra had a first look with Nik but also chose to do a first look with her parents. It was a beautiful heartfelt moment. Followed by an unplanned first look with her brother and we took some family portraits. It was really lovely having time to do this before the ceremony.

As always, I try to do short portrait sessions at a few different points during the day. Why is this my approach for couple portraits on a wedding day?

  • It means you are never away from your friends and family for long.
  • It gives variety in location, and lighting and emotions.
  • So artistically you have a greater scope of work, and with storytelling it gives greater breadth of the day

When the bride is a DJ, you know the party is going to be good…..and it was!

Zahra swopped her wedding skirt for trousers and trainers. And took over on the decks from Claudio for a while.

Plates were smashed.

There were loukamades.

All generations were on the dance floor.
